5 Beauty Products I tried this month

I am a creature of habit and its typical difficult for me to stray away from what I know.  Especially if I know a method or something works!  But I have been trying to be better at testing out new products to share with you guys.  So I started introducing 5 new products each month and giving myself the whole month to really test and gauge its staying power.  In February, I was really into hydration from head to toe, testing out oils, balms and luscious creams!  And I must say I loved them all.  Read more below:

Kopari Coconut Melt

I don’t know why I stayed away from this product for so long.  I heard it was amazing, but condescendingly thought just generic coconut oil from the likes of Trader’s Joes does a fine job.  But it’s like a coconut drug – once you start you can’t stop!  The Coconut Melt is creamier and feels like butter on my skin.  I lather it all over my body after my evening shower and I notice such a difference in my skin.  The only downside is the price.  And since I use it on my body, it doesn’t last longer than a month.  But for the dry winter months, it is worth every penny for me!

Perricone MD Cold Plasma+ Eye

For the evenings, I like very rich and creamy textures in skincare, and this eye cream just the job perfectly.  I have noticed increased hydration and fullness after just a couple weeks of using, and while I don’t have issues with dark circles or wrinkles (yet!), I have a feeling the Cold Plasma+ Eye cream product would do wonders. It has all the age-defying ingredients antioxidants (Copper Tripeptide ) and vitamin C.  Don’t be alarmed by the price tag.  I am a firm believer of investing in anything for the eyes, and you pay for what works for you!

Belif True Cream Moisturizing Bomb

This is actually not the first time I’ve used the Moisturizing Bomb.  It really is THE bomb, pun intended!  It is by far one of the best moisturizers I’ve used and I just had to add it back into my routine.  I currently have that dewy glow that I know I can credit to this little magic moisturizer.

Fresh Seaberry Cleansing Oil

I have been searching for a REALLY good makeup remover/cleanser and someone pointed out that oil breaks down oil. Genius right!  I hate the feeling of leftover makeup on my skin or when you swipe with a toner infused cotton round and still see streaks of makeup.  This cleansing oil definitely took care of  that.  I can see and feel how clean my skin is right after I clean.  I will use this as a first cleaning step, and follow up with a tiny bit of gel cleanser to get rid of the oily feel. But if you have drier skin, you can skip my second step.  But I just love the extra clean feeling!

Smashbox Halo Perfecting Powder

I’ve been looking for an easy loose powder that I can brush on quickly over sunscreen or tinted moisturizer.  For days I don’t have time for much but need a decent amount of coverage, the Halo Perfecting Powder has been God send.  It goes on smooth and layers well with just about any/all the moisturizers, sunscreen or treatment I have used so far!  Also, it gives a satin matte look that I love!
