Blue Embroidered Dress + 5 Things to accomplish this Weekend

I am always immediately drawn to chambray blues.  The color and texture is just so easy and in dress form, it quintessential Spring time!
This dress from Anthropologie is picnic perfect.  The sweet embroidered detail makes this dress so elegant and classic.  And it has pockets which we all know is everything.  I added a little touch of ballerina chic with these cute Topshop cork wedge.  They are so comfortable and the lace-up is not as cumbersome as I thought they would be.  The shoes have little loop attached to the heel strap that make it pretty easy to wrap around the ankle.
Today’s edition of Friday Fives things is about my weekend.  We usually play the weekends by ear since the weekdays are crazy.  But because of that, we end up getting caught up doing random errands and a million other things that we probably shouldn’t focus on or don’t particularly enjoy.  With rain in the forecast, I definitely want to make a point to be productive but also make time to relax and enjoy some down time.  So here is my plan for the weekend:
1.  Have fun with mom friends – I’m going to an event at the Fig House this weekend called Spring Fest by Club Momme.  It is suppose to be fun with activities for mom and kiddies.  But I’m bringing my sister and meeting up some mom friends there and we are leaving the kiddos at home.  It’ll be nice to catch up and enjoy the event without worrying if my little one is getting himself into trouble.
2. Start a new book – I can’t even tell you the last time I read an actual book.  Its been awhile.  So this weekend, I’d like so get back to reading and I have a few books in mind but haven’t decided yet.  I’ll keep you posted on which one I choose.
3. Watch a movie – Like reading, I can’t remember the last movie I watched in the theatre.  Its one of those fleeting activities once you have a child.  I’d love to watch a comedy or Batman vs. Superman!
4. Closet Cleanup – I converted one of your guest bedrooms to my closet.  And I thought, awesome… I’ll be so organized and have this space in tip top shape always.  Umm nope.  With more space, comes more room to be messy.  Clothes, shoes and more clothes everywhere.  Currently I don’t even think you can see the floor.  So its time. Clean up the closet and maybe purge a little.
5.  Food planning for the week – We’ve been eating so badly the last couple weeks. Most afternoons I’m scrambling to make dinner and really have no idea what to make.  Its rather stressful and some days I just give up and call John to bring something home.  So on Sunday, I am going to meal plan all our breakfasts, lunches and at least 4 dinners. It keeps us on track to eating healthy too.
What are you plans this weekend?
