Monochromatic Greys

Hello from Milan!  We landed a couple days ago and decided to take it easy. We’ve been enjoying long naps and long strolls around the city.  It is cold but I love it.  The weather is crisp and cool, but not overbearing kind of cold.  Milan has been a good stop to get our bearings before we head to other parts of the country.  It is such a vibrant city!  Even in cooler temperatures, the tourists are out in droves!  We tried to tour the Milan Cathedral but the line was literally wrapped around the 2-3 blocks. So we opted to just walk around and do some shopping in the famous Via Montenapoleone.  Seriously some of the best shopping in world…umm…one of everything please!!! Today I wanted to share a look from back home!  A completely monochromatic ensemble takes something simple and basic, and takes it up a notch. My favorite looks are the ones done in neutral shades like creams, whites, grey or tans. It’s an easy way to make inexpensive everyday pieces look way more expensive.
Since the weather is still quite warm in Souther California, a simple sweater dress with a cold shoulders fits right on the mark.  I paired it my grey Stuart Weitzman Highland boots for a cold weather dressed up look.  I love these boots and am always afraid to wear as to not get it too dirty.  I know that seems silly.  Luckily there are always in style, so I can wear them year after year.
