What I love about Halo {bassinet & swaddle}

This post is sponsored by Halo.  All opinions are my own.

There is one thing consistent in my motherhood since I had Jaxson.  It is that I am  very strict on baby sleep schedule and routine.  I love my sleep and I know all babies do too. They just need to learn how to sleep. Now I know that sounds weird, and I’m not sleep expert, but I truly believe that babies do need to be trained to sleep well.  And sleeps helps their mind and body function better. And of course, makes mama function better.

I will definitely have a longer post dedicated to my sleep training and schedule (Kingston has been sleeping through the night on a schedule since he was 5 weeks old, starting with 6 hours and working up to 8 hours at 8 weeks old!), but today I wanted to share one of my favorite baby brands we’ve been using to help Kingston sleep better.  Halo makes some of the best baby products on the market, and we couldn’t live with out the bassinets or their swaddles.

Let’s start with the HALO Bassinest® swivel sleeper.  Here’s what I love about it:

  1. It swivels and rotates 360 degrees to make it easier to reach baby in any position and angle.  And if I have it right on my bed, I can move it and get up easily without moving the entire thing.
  2. It includes a soothing nightlight so I can still his face at night (let’s face it, all moms still check if their newborn is still breathing so matter how many kids you have :)), a soothing sounds and a calming vibration!
  3. 2 Pockets on the side to easily store necessities like diapers and bibs.
  4. Side walls are soft and can be lowered for better reach, and mesh material for visibility.

We’ve been using this bassinet for Kingston’s night sleep since he was born.  I especially love that I can keep him near but not actually in bed with us.

Now let’s talk about swaddles! With Jaxson, he hated being wrapped up in the blanket swaddles so we just let him be free from like 3-4 weeks old, and his sleep was much more of a struggle till he was about 6 weeks.  I just chalked it up to him not loving being wrapped up and didn’t try anything else.  Had I tried the HALO swaddles, he might have been sleeping better earlier.  With Kingston, I learned he sleeps better being half swaddled for daytime naps.  Using these blanket swaddles, I think he likes the flexibility to move around a bit.  And this swaddle is pretty warm and cozy which is perfect for winter days! At night, he can sleep longer bundled in the arms up soothing position.  And recently HALO came out with the self-soothing version with silicon teether built in by hands. I mean, serious genius!

I can’t tell you how many of each of these swaddles we have, but truly….we wouldn’t sleep without it.
